About us

En Corps Dance Collective (ECDC) is a group of driven and dedicated dancers seeking growth and opportunity. Members work together through artistic exploration to build performance, choreography, and teaching opportunities.

ECDC works closely with its company members to create annual original performances. All opportunities are high-level, low-cost, and rooted in our supportive atmosphere.

To provide performance opportunities and training to adult dancers.

VISION

We envision a community where dance is accessible to all types of dancers. We work around busy schedules and strive to impart adults who are passionate about dance with opportunities to create, inspire, and perform

How it works

ECDC is run by our members, for our members!

Each spring, our Board of Directors puts out a call to current collective members to submit proposals for the following year's Artistic Director (AD) position. The proposal calls for a developed show idea for the annual performance in February. Once elected, the Board assists the AD in implementing their artistic vision throughout the company’s show season (September - February).

The AD sends invites for choreographers from the current membership, as well as guest choreographers from the community. Come September, dancers are auditioned, accepted as members, and begin rehearsals. 

In the spring and summer months, collective members have the opportunity to direct or participate in photoshoots, video shoots, and other creative opportunities.

PROGRAMS

  • PERFORMANCE PROGRAM

    After a successful audition, dancers join the collective and are cast in the upcoming show. From October to February we rehearse with choreographers to produce a live show. Smaller projects and opportunities are offered throughout the year.

    Additional to our yearly performance, collective members have the opportunity to direct or participate in photoshoots, video shoots, smaller dance performances, and other creative opportunities.

  • DROP IN CLASSES

    Outside of our performance season, drop-in classes are offered to the community. Taught by a variety of choreographers and the ECDC company, in a multitude of styles, classes are intermediate/advanced. Drop-in fee is $15.

    Collective dancers are given the opportunity to continue their dance training during the show season. Company classes are offered in a variety of styles and teaching opportunities are avalible to members.
